Brand New Claber Drip Irrigation Kits

Posted by Sean Lade on

This year has seen some great new products launched from the likes of Hozelock, Rain Bird and Claber. Claber recently launched the Hydro 4 Solenoid Valve Box, something we wrote about here, and Hozelock updated their range of automatic watering kits. Hozelock isn't the only manufacturer to have released something new in the drip irrigation space. Claber has now released two new kits to extend their range of drip irrigation systems. Each kit has been designed for specific areas in the garden, rather than being a general, all-purpose kit. They both retail for roughly the same price and have a huge parts list making them good value for money. They promise to be comprehensive starter kits that can feed up to 60 plants, but will they live up to our high expectations? Let's find out. Claber Terrazzo Drip Irrigation Kit We've started off with the cheaper of the two kits (RRP £77.49) that provides watering for up to 50 plants through the use of drip emitters. The drip emitters are adjustable (0-10 LPH) allowing for precise watering for individual plants needs. This kit is for use on terraces and patio areas providing water for potted plants.

Hozelock's Latest Range of Automatic Watering Kits

Posted by Sean Lade on

Over the past few years Hozelock have been releasing lots of updates to its existing product range and adding new innovations for watering the garden. These include Hozelock's Flexi Spray Pistol, winner of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show's product of the year, the Hozelock AquaDeco Watering Globe and Hozelock's Growbag Waterer, along with a many others. One of the product ranges that has been lacking an update is the Hozelock automatic watering kits (AKA the drip irrigation kits). The range consisted of the Hozelock Automatic Watering Kit Deluxe, its top of the range automatic watering kit that included a water timer, the Hozelock Maxi Watering Kit and the Hozelock Mini Watering Kit. These have been the same for as long as I've been working in the industry (7 years) with no update other than a refresh in the packaging design to match their re-branding back in 2012. It's all changed now though. Hozelock have totally revamped their range of automatic watering kits, and we're one of the first to get our hands on them. Lets waste no more time and dive into the details.

This is Where We Live - The Beautiful County of Pembrokeshire

Posted by Sean Lade on

We get busy on the phones this time of year helping customers plan their garden irrigation systems, providing technical support during installation and offering advice on programming their water timers to best effect. One question we get asked a lot is "Where are you based?". This is usually because they'd like to pop in and see us face to face for help. Unfortunately for most people asking, we are off the beaten track and tucked away in beautiful Pembrokeshire, about 200 miles away from London (4 hrs drive). Fortunately for us, however, we get to live in one of the most stunning areas the UK has to offer.  We love where we live and wanted to share with you, our much-loved customers, some amazing photos we've been taking, and also a Pinterest board we've just started curating. We would love it if you came to visit us, but understand it is quite the journey for most of our customers. If you need help, we are more than able to offer assistance via phone and email, so don't hesitate to get in touch. In this blog post you'll see our Pembrokeshire Pinterest Board (overtime this will be added to, so watch this space), and some photo's we've recently taken (or found) locally.

Claber Hydro 4 System - Hands on with Claber's latest innovation

Posted by Sean Lade on

[Update: 18.03.2015] The New Claber Hydro 4 Solenoid Valve Box is now in stock. Today we met up with Claber sales rep Ian to discuss their latest products and for a general catch up over a tasty bacon sandwich and a cup of coffee in the cafe just around the corner from our warehouse. Sat down in the marina cafe, we had our usual chit chat, "How's business?", "Are you planning any holidays this year?" etc. etc. Soon enough we got to the nitty gritty of our meeting to discuss the much anticipated Claber Hydro 4. We've been really excited to get our hands on Claber's latest product, the Hydro 4 Solenoid & Valve Box as it ticks so many boxes for us and our customers. It's a group of 4 solenoids and an irrigation controller all pre-assembled into a compact valve box making installation extremely simple and very fast. The unit can manage up to 4 irrigation zones for watering lawns, flower beds and vegetable patches. We've been crying out for something like this for ages! Finally Claber delivered the goods.

Help & Advice Page Update

Posted by Sean Lade on

We've been busy working on bringing homeowners and landscape gardeners the very best guides to help them plan and install garden watering systems for themselves. Recently we added a guide to planning and installing micro jet and spray irrigation systems, which has had great feedback, along with our guide on planning and installing drip irrigation systems we published a couple months ago. Pretty soon we will have a couple more very important guides that we will be publishing, including a guide for planning and installing pop up sprinkler systems, and a guide for troubleshooting irrigation systems.
