These are used to connect the pop-up sprinkler to the swing pipe and then to the main supply hose, the usual way is to connect a swing pipe elbow to the bottom of the sprinkler, then this is connected to a length of swing pipe. The end of the swing pipe is then connected via a threaded straight connector into a threaded MDPE connector of the same diameter.
