The new Grundfos SBA series of irrigation pumps is a complete all-in-one unit perfect for domestic and light commercial irrigation systems. Offering a simple installation and reliable operation, this irrigation pump can be used with rainwater storage tanks and private wells. Made from composite and stainless steel materials, and featuring a 1mm mesh stainless steel strainer for preventing large particles from entering the pump housing, all of which offers a longer life.
The greatest benefit of the Grundfos SBA series irrigation pumps is the automatic features built into the unit, allowing a plug and play pump solution. Automatic start/stop based on pressure sensitivity allows for the pump to be plumbed in and turned on, eliminating the need for an external pump controller. Simply put, the pump automatically switches on when your irrigation system activates. The Grundfos SBA series irrigation pumps comes with a float switch, preventing the pump activating in case of low water and automatically restarts when water is added. It also has built-in thermal protection that immediately stops the pump if it overheats, and automatically restarts when it has returned to normal temperature.
The Grundfos SBA 3-45 is the larger version of the series and packs a lot of power with a maximum output of 4.5 bar pressure (3.75 bar pressure at 20 l/min). This model comes with an optional Float Suction Kit which includes a side inlet, a flexible suction hose and a floating suction strainer (1mm mesh), ideal for use with rainwater harvesters.
